Symposia Overview
Printing professionals are faced with making high dollar decisions that affect their company's productivity and profitability. During this 2-day symposium attendees will gain the technical basics essential for making smarter and more effective print decisions. Program topics will be suitable for professionals from digital, flexographic, gravure, lithographic, and screen printing process. Breakout sessions will accommodate these process specific issues and fundamentals.

While this symposium is suitable for professionals that are at a beginner or intermediate level, those who are completely new to printing will find this two-day investment to be of immeasurable value by enabling them to confidently interact with the technical professionals they contact on a daily basis. Likewise, more experienced professionals will learn methods for making their process more consistent, predictable, and cost efficient by working within a controlled production system.

Symposium Instructors
Topics will be presented primarily by expert faculty from Clemson's Department of Graphic Communications as well as practitioners from various industry segments. Dr. Page Crouch, Clemson Professor Emeritus, will be moderating.

Technical explanations of flexographic, lithographic, screen printing, gravure, and digital printing processes

1:00 pm Controlling Printability in Your Process
Using process specific breakout sessions, presenters will explain how the individual elements of the printing process affect the outcome of the print
Color 101
Presentations provide a better understanding of how we see color; elements that affect color; process color; and how to measure and control the color that you print
Demonstrations of printing technologies and process control equipment in the GC laboratories
